Israeli-Arab conflict in the Holy Land moved to a new level over a century ago, intensifying since 1948. The conflict that escalated in October 2023 saw horrific attacks against civilians in Israel. Israel responded by invading Gaza, and the death and destruction that followed was orders of magnitude worse. The conflict led to waves of global marches, protests, and counter-protests with a divided world arguing about who to blame. The destruction of Gaza has wrought devastation, drawing accusations of genocide. Resolution to any conflict is elusive due to competing claims and agendas. Both sides lay claim to the land, and all human efforts to resolve this conflict have failed. As long as corrupt, wicked leaders who benefit from violence control both governments, and while hatred is harboured in people's hearts, no ceasefire can last long. Cry out for God's mercy, and pray that both sides of this conflict will find true reconciliation and genuine Shalom through Jesus the Messiah.
